Tuol Sleng’s Genocide 

Codename S-21. This former school was turned to an execution center (killing around 20,000 people including children) during the Khmer Rouge era. I didn’t realize how real genocide and brainwashing was until I came to Phnom Penh’s Tuol Sleng. Heartbreaking history.

Cambodia. The land of friendly Khmer people and home of famous Angkor temples. When I went on my very first backpacking trip last April, Cambodia was the 2nd stop of our group and it was probably the most filled one.
